Growth: Ruwer. The Herrenberg Auslese offers a wonderfully fine and elegant fruit-forward nose of ripe apricots and pineapple, complemented by honey and roasted almonds. Despite its golden richness of fruit, the wine proves refreshing and invigorating due to its fine acid structure. It exhibits a perfect balance between its creamy, ripe, exotic fruit bouquet and juicy acidity. The vineyard: The site covers a total of 19 hectares. The part of the HERRENBERG adjacent to the ABTSBERG resembles it in many respects; the soil composition and orientation are initially very similar. The rear part of the HERRENBERG is cooler, less steep, and is surrounded by the forest of the Grüneberg. Devonian slate, which appears reddish in the HERRENBERG, also dominates here. In the past, the wines from this site were somewhat in the shadow of the ABTSBERG wines. However, due to changing climatic conditions, the Rieslings from both sites are now qualitatively on par. The wines of the HERRENBERG also possess extraordinary aging potential and can mature for decades.

A golden-yellow summer dream featuring buttery shortcrust pastry and aromatic apricots, baked in a delicate vanilla-caramel sauce and served inverted.
