Growth: Ruwer. The nose reveals an exciting herbal spiciness, accompanied by a distinct mineral impression. Swirling releases ripe yellow fruits, complemented by fine notes of orange zest and bergamot. A subtle smokiness rounds off the bouquet. On the palate, the wine presents itself as very elegant, with already harmoniously integrated acidity. Fresh herbs such as sorrel stand out, while the fruit aromatics are reminiscent of gooseberries, Granny Smith apples, and citrus fruits like white grapefruit. A fine hint of salt as well as a touch of yeast aromatics give the wine additional depth and complexity. Pairs well with grilled scallops on lemon risotto and fennel salad. VDP.Erste Lage, red & blue Devonian slate: The origin of our GRÜNHÄUSER 1G RIESLING dry is formed by the classified vineyards of our 3 historic monopoly sites Bruderberg, Herrenberg, and Abtsberg in the Grünhäuser Berg. In France, such a high-quality dry wine would simply be called a Premier Cru. This wine carries an incredible amount of Grünhäuser identity and is a wonderful golden mean of our top sites, surpassed only by the GGs.

Tender, pan-seared scallops meet a creamy risotto with a fresh citrus note and delicately tart sorrel. The dish is accompanied by a crisp fennel salad with Granny Smith apple, providing the perfect balance of freshness and minerality.
