Growth: Ruwer. Our 2023 Kaseler Nies'chen GG convinces with its energy and nuanced minerality. Its nose enchants with a fruity presence of peaches, nectarines, and mandarins, continuing on the palate with a fruity, zesty character and slate-driven minerality. Its finish brings a fine spice and dark-leaning fruits, adding another dimension to the whole. Ruwer, the way we love it. VINEYARD The Große Lage Kaseler Nies'chen in the cool Ruwer Valley is a true jewel among Grand Cru sites. With a total area of just over 14 hectares and an impressive incline of up to 70 percent, it offers optimal conditions for growing racy Rieslings. The blue-gray Devonian slate soils are not only well-aerated but also contribute significantly to the thermal warming of the soil, making this Grand Cru one of the warmest in the Ruwer Valley. GROSSES GEWÄCHS 'Im Nies'chen' The 'Im Nies'chen' parcel is the absolute prime section of this remarkable site, located centrally in the middle vineyard section. 50-year-old vines grow here, producing top-class grapes. These decades-old roots promote not only depth but also the harmony of the wines. The cool wind of the Ruwer Valley ensures a balanced microclimate, which promotes the ripening of the grapes while preserving their high quality. The special conditions in 'Im Nies'chen' allow us to produce wines with depth of character and fine complexity. Through targeted yield reduction and careful selective hand-harvesting, we guarantee that only the best grapes enter the vinification process. SERVING TEMPERATURE chilled at 8-10°C.

Tenderly browned scallops meet the invigorating freshness of a finely balanced mandarin-fennel salad. The delicate citrus fruit of the mandarin harmonizes perfectly with the cool minerality and salty elegance of the seafood.
